Sergio González Kuhn
Founder / Creative Director
After finishing his studies at the Lycée Français de Madrid, Sergio moved to New York City to study graphic design at the Pratt Institute. During his four year stay in the city, he combined his studies with wide-ranging experience in interactive design work for leading New York firms. In 2001 he moved to Japan in order to gain experience in Asian markets, joining Ashley Associates in Tokyo. This allowed him to broaden his print and interactive knowledge, working with major Japanese brands. Sergio then returned to Madrid in 2003 and set up Barfutura.
He also teaches graphic design at various different schools in Spain.
Designer / Art Director
Pato studied advertising graphic design at IPP in Peru. He began his professional career in Lima, working in different advertising agencies, where he was able to experiment with several branches of design and communication, shaping his skills towards the world of fashion editorial design and retail over a number of years. In 2010, he moved to Madrid in search of new personal and professional challenges, where he has continued to experiment in branding, packaging, visual and trade in the cosmetics and luxury brands sector of different European markets.

After graduating in Fine Arts in Salamanca, Javier moved to Madrid to continue his training in graphic design at the IED and later in illustration at EINA in Barcelona. Since then he has combined his artistic career with his dedication as a graphic designer for different agencies, which has allowed him to expand his knowledge in branding and 360º communication. Determined to develop one of his great passions – the poster – in 2016 he begins a new adventure oriented to editorial design and image-making, developing independent cultural communication projects in which he seeks to create pieces that combine visual poetics and graphic impact. “Long live the poster!
Designer / Editorial
Olaya graduated in Graphic Design at ESAPA in Asturias. With a high ambition and desire to start working in her field, she moved to Madrid in 2016, where she first worked in the areas of fashion and culture. There she developed her marketing skills and learnt about art and creative direction. She has continued working for studios within the editorial design, one of her true passions, where she enjoys playing with trends but also creating atemporal pieces. “Paper is not dead!”

After two years studying Fashion Design at Felicidad Duce School in her home town of Barcelona, Patricia decided to professionally focus on graphic design. She moved to Madrid in 2007 after completing a Master degree in graphic and web design. Since then she has been freelancing, working on different design projects while expanding her typography and illustration skills. Patricia has also completed her Advertising and Public Relations studies at the Open University of Catalonia.
Marcos has always followed the famous saying by Walt Disney “ if you can dream it, you can do it”. That was his main reason to leave his hometown in Canary Islands when he was only seventeen and start his degree in Graphic Design in ESI, Valladolid. After finishing his studies, he made an important decision to move to Madrid and look for new creative experiences so that he could fulfill his expectations and develop new graphic designs.
Lourdes studied Public Administration in the University of Seville, her home town. After finishing her degree, she decided to refocus her professional career, packing her bags and moving to Madrid in 2011. Once in the Spanish capital, she began studying for a Master in multimedia communication. Since then, she has steadily been acquiring experience in the marketing and advertising industry, working with several different companies and agencies.
After returning from a spell in the United States, Andreina started working in Barfutura where she takes care of administrative duties, such as facilitating communications, keeping records and setting appointments.
Another responsibility is to monitor and maintain internal company documents, employee manuals, vacation notices, collecting and organizing employee paperwork, job applications, employment contracts and benefits forms.
Pedro González Kuhn
New Business Manager
Pedro is a director and producer based in Los Angeles. He started out working as an Assistant Director and has credits on almost 20 films. In 2013, he set up the production company Sintagma Films, through which vehicle he has directed and produced a number of projects for the cinema as well as advertising. Pedro’s first short film “The Gran Dis-Illusion”, won him a Goya Award Nomination and was selected in official competition in more than 50 international festivals. He recently completed his first documentary film as a producer, “Delicate Balance”.
